Alex Decker is an award-winning interior designer who has forever been fascinated by interiors, architecture, art and design. It has been a joy for her to bring A Decker Design to life to transform both residential and commercial environments for her clients. She is a lover of color, pattern, texture and visual drama - and how these elements combine to define a space. 

Alex was awarded first place in the 2024 Detroit Design Awards in the restaurants + bars category and second place for use of color in commercial interiors. She is honored to have participated as a designer in the 2024 Junior League of Detroit's Designers' Show House and has been featured in Homes & Gardens, Forbes.com, Detroit Design, Grosse Pointe Magazine and The Grosse Pointe News. She studied communication and design at DePaul University and interior design through Parsons School of Design.

In addition to her design work she is active on several committees at the Detroit Institute of Arts and is inspired by the recent resurgence of Detroit and the mix of architecture that continues to evolve in the city. 

Currently Alex lives and works in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan with her husband and toddler son.
